 Tightweb now offers FREE domain parking! You don't have to order your domain from Tightweb - or make any committments. Simply go to the Tightweb's Hosting Web Site, click on the FREE Parking sign (or click on the sign on the right), enter your name, email address and phone number and you're domain will be parked FREE for as long as you want. No limits on numbers of domains or number of months/years. The only limit is that the domain remain active and owned by the individual or company who originally parked the domain name.

Tightweb has completed a major upgrade in both of its midwestern hosting sites. Upgrades have included hardware, servers and software (including operating systems). In addition, both mail servers have been upgraded.
 Tightweb and its partners have developed and placed a new tool entitled 'Help Desk - Knowledge Base' on its hosting site (http://tightweb.net). This tool provides fairly large amounts of information for clients and non-clients alike, regarding the internet in general - and Tightweb applications and tools in particular. This application allows users to search for specific words or phrases in the knowledge database - and if they can't find an answer, they can ask questions and get answers emailed back to them.
Tightweb has installed Spam Assassin to provide hightened security to its mail server thereby providing greater safety to its hosting clients.

| Some More Thoughts About Web Safety! | | |  (Second in a series of Security Discussions) Ever get an email that offers special deals as it asks for you to click on an image or button to get the information? This is never a good idea since most hackers rely heavily upon email to enter your PC, and your kindled interest in their mailing to click on something that allows the hacker to set up a program or cookie in your computer!
This may not sound too serious to you, but the nature of the cookie or program they insert into your PC is very serious indeed. The hacker will place a program in your computer which can copy your computer key strokes and pass them on to the hacker for them to reproduce. This can provide hackers' with important, valuable information about you. For example, if you pay a bill on your computer - and one of these programs resides in your PC, you've just gaven away your credit card information, perhaps your bank account numbers and possibly even your social security numbers.
If you don't know the sender of the email, do not open any programs or even click on any buttons or images in the email. The temptation may be strong - and the email may look harmless, but remember the dangers described here. The struggle against identity theft, web and email scams and fraud is an important fight and one that we are increasing losing at alarming rates!
